Ordering Numbers and Energy Sources

When comparing and ordering numbers follow these steps:

1. Check to see if you are being asked if you need to order numbers greatest to least or least to greatest.

2. Count how many WHOLE digit numbers. The more there are, the more place they take up. The more places they take up the greater the place value.

3. Compare numbers that have the same number of whole digits. Work from left to right.
